How to Start Kendo
How to start kendo: We require every interested student to visit and observe two complete practices. This allows interested students to have first hand view of kendo, show their commitment to begin kendo and allow the prospective student to ask any questions first hand.
Open enrollment for new students take place on the first two weeks of January, April, July and October.
Students will need complete the registration forms (see link below), pay dues, wear comfortable clothing, and have a shinai**.
**Shinai’s are available at the Monday dojo, prices vary but generally are between $20-$25. Or shinai may be purchased on line, see “bogu companies” under “links”.
