How to Start Kendo

The only requirement for Beginners is to purchase a shinai, and wear comfortable clothing.

The dojo has some shinai at the Monday night location for $25.00 (Size 39 for 18 years old and over). We also have shinais for women and children under 18 years old. Please ask Sensei about your shinai length.
A shinai can be purchase in Japantown at Soko Hardware or any martial arts stores.
The classes are open to the public, so one can stop by and watch any of the classes. We always welcome audiences and biginners.

Registration forms are available under Registration Form Download section with PDF format. Please sign off on both San Francisco Dojo registration form and NCKF release form.
*Persons under 18 years old age require the consent of a parent or guardian.
